FutureNEST Submarine HMS TALENT Visit

Last week, FutureNEST visited the submarine HMS TALENT at HMNB Devonport. A unique experience for our graduates and apprentices, the visit provided a superb insight to submarine design and operation for our budding engineers, scientists, and project professionals. TALENT’s crew provided an excellent and in-depth tour of the Trafalgar class submarine and demonstrated some of their survival equipment. The afternoon saw our FutureNEST Members tasked with completing a fictional military planning exercise, and a fictional geopolitical workshop, both events testing their teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.

The visit was a great success, serving as an excellent opportunity for our early careers professionals to network whilst gaining tangible experience of a naval platform. We are incredibly grateful to the crew of TALENT for providing such an insightful and enjoyable experience.
