Member Meeting at Cammell Laird, 23 Nov 23

UKNEST members recently met at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead for our 54th Member Meeting. The 130 acre site embodies Britain’s shipbuilding heritage, and has provided ship repair services to the international defence and commercial marine sectors for more than 200 years. As well as reviewing the broad range of recent activities and achievements, members were treated to a tour of the dockyards, modular construction hall, and training workshops to see a diverse range of shipbuilding skills in action. It was a privilege to gain an up-close insight into British shipbuilding, to experience the sense of family amongst Cammell Laird employees, and fantastic to see talented apprentices and graduates at the heart of the business.
